CARLINVILLE, IL — Senior Zoe Mitchell and freshman Jaylen Jeter earned Prairie Farms Athlete of the Week honors.
Zoe Mitchell recorded a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds in Blackburn's 90–73 win over Eureka. She set the tone early with a steal and layup for the game's first basket and remained a steady presence throughout, contributing efficient scoring, strong rebounding, and active defense. Her two-way performance helped fuel Blackburn's comeback and dominant fourth-quarter finish.
Jaylen Jeter delivered a strong offensive performance, finishing with 25 points, seven rebounds, four steals, and two assists in Blackburn's 102–90 victory over Eureka. Jeter scored efficiently in transition, knocked down a late three-pointer, and converted key free throws down the stretch. His scoring, combined with active defense that generated turnovers, played a major role in Blackburn's ability to pull away late.
Both the men's and women's basketball teams return to SLIAC action on Thursday against Lyon College.
