Allende Quinones, Hiser Earn Prairie Farms Athletes of the Week

CARLINVILLE, IL — Junior Eiz Allende Quinones and sophomore Remington Hiser earned Prairie Farms Athlete of the Week honors.

Eiz Allende Quinones helped lead the Beavers in both of their conference matchups this past week. Although Blackburn fell short against Spalding, Allende Quinones made an impact on both ends of the floor. She scored six points on 2-of-7 shooting, grabbed five rebounds, and was active defensively with two steals. She also recorded a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds in their win over Westminster.

Remington Hiser went 3–2 and placed seventh at the Elmhurst Invitational. Hiser competed against multiple nationally ranked teams and placed among 25 athletes in his weight class.

It is a busy week for the Beavers, as the men's and women's basketball teams compete Wednesday at Greenville University. On Saturday, the women's basketball team is at home to face Calumet College, while the men's and women's track and field teams compete at the Illinois College Snow Bird. The men's wrestling team will also compete at the Stormin' Norman Invitational.
