Koenig, Duran earn Blackburn Athlete of the Week

CARLINVILLE, IL — Senior Shelby Koenig and Freshman Johnny Duran earned Blackburn Athlete of the Week honors.

Senior Shelby Koenig with a dominant performance in the circle. She threw a complete game, recording six strikeouts over seven innings while not allowing a single run. Shelby's control and composure led the way in a standout outing, helping secure a big result for her the beavers in conference play.

Freshman Johnny Duran after an explosive performance at the plate. He tallied five hits, including a double and two home runs, while driving in four runs and scoring three times. Johnny also hit an impressive .417 on the week, showcasing his power and consistency as a key contributor for his team in this week's matchups.

Softball has double headers at Greenville this Wednesday and then at Maranatha Baptist this Saturday. Baseball is playing Rose Hulman at home Tuesday and then at Westminster on Friday and Saturday.
