Blackburn Athletics Hall of Fame Nominations Open

CARLINVILLE, IL -- Blackburn College Athletics has opened nominations to the Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2027 and will stay open from May 1 through June 30. 

Nominations may come from any individual interested in Blackburn College athletics. Past and current student-athletes, coaches, faculty members, and friends of athletics are encouraged to nominate individuals and teams.

• Team Inductions
  Teams must have waited a minimum of five years before being nominated. Nominated teams must have distinguished themselves with achievements such as but not limited to national or conference championships.
• Coach Inductions
  A nominated coach must have led exemplary teams at Blackburn College or elsewhere in his or her coaching career. Nominated coaches need not be graduates of Blackburn College.
• Student-Athlete Inductions
  A nominated student-athlete must have attended Blackburn College for a minimum of two years and be a graduate of the institution. Nominees must have represented the athletic department in an honorable fashion and continued to model exemplary character after attending the institution. In order to be eligible, five years must have passed prior to nomination. Nominees must have distinguished themselves with achievements such as all-American, all-conference, most valuable player, team captain, or have been a multiple sport participant. Continued involvement in athletics following graduation may also be considered.

All nominations will be considered. The selection committee will recognize a maximum of five individual inductees and one team per year. There are now 68 Individual Members along with eight teams in the Blackburn College Athletic Hall of Fame with the first class inducted in 1989.
