Congi Earns First Team All Conference Honors; Moore Named to Sportsmanship Team
BELLEVILLE, IL -- Senior Royce Congi earned St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference postseason honors as he was named First Team All-SLIAC for a standout season. Cody Moore also earned recognition as he was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
BELLEVILLE, IL -- Senior Royce Congi earned St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference postseason honors as he was named First Team All-SLIAC for a standout season. Cody Moore also earned recognition as he was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
Congi was named to the team as a utility player as he played shortstop, batted, and also pitched throughout the season. He led the team with 25 runs scored, seven doubles and seven stolen bases. He was second with 31 hits, 19 runs batted in and three home runs. He added 24 strikeouts in seven appearances from the mound.
Moore appeared in eight games but was an important figure to the team's successes this season.
As a team, the Beavers posted their most wins since the 2007 season.
