GREENVILLE, IL -- The Blackburn College Men's Basketball team visited Greenville University for St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action but were unable to bring home victory as the Beavers fell to the Panthers 115-100.
Junior Darius Duff led the Beavers and posted a new career high with 26 points. Freshman Landon Driscoll was the second top scorer of the game with a career high of 19 points. Tyson Johnson and Nick Cook both aided the BC offense with 11 points and nine rebounds each.
Greenville came out strong, taking the lead 7-2 early in the game. Duff made a layup right after hitting a jump shot to tie the game 12-12 just six minutes in. Greenville then held the lead for the rest of the first half, making the Beavers face a 60-48 deficit entering halftime.
In the second half, the Panthers took control and held the lead, making it hard for the Beavers to catch up, and secured Greenville a 115-100 win.
The Beavers will return to action on Saturday for a non-conference matchup at Grinnell College.
