Top performers for the Beavers included freshmen Evan Jordan and Jaylen Jeter. Jordan posted a career-high 31 points and continues to be a key contributor for Blackburn, averaging 18.2 points per game. Jeter was close behind with 25 points and is averaging 16.2 points per contest. Juniors Kamerin Carter and Kcion Welch also made strong contributions. Carter finished with 19 points, six assists, and three rebounds, while Welch added 13 points and led the team on the boards with seven rebounds.
Blackburn built an early rhythm behind aggressive defense and balanced scoring, turning a tight opening stretch into control by halftime. After trading baskets early, the Beavers used strong ball movement and timely perimeter shooting to create separation midway through the first half. Carter knocked down multiple three-pointers during a key run, while Jeter and Jordan finished in transition off turnovers forced by Blackburn's pressure.
Blackburn's defense set the tone throughout the opening half, generating steals and limiting Eureka's second-chance opportunities. Jeter, Welch, and senior Darius Duff were active defensively, turning stops into fast-break points. The Beavers continued to extend the lead late in the half with strong rebounding and efficient finishing at the rim, taking a 54–43 advantage into halftime.
The Beavers opened the second half with confidence, continuing to stretch the floor and capitalize on Eureka miscues. Jordan hit multiple three-pointers early in the half, while Welch and junior Owen Walter controlled the paint with rebounds and interior finishes. Blackburn's ability to score off turnovers and second-chance opportunities helped maintain a steady lead despite Eureka attempts to rally.
Midway through the second half, Eureka briefly closed the gap, but Blackburn responded with composure. Free throws from Jeter and strong finishes from Jordan and Welch steadied the Beavers, while Carter delivered another timely three-pointer to halt the momentum. Blackburn's defensive intensity remained high, forcing late-game turnovers and contesting shots at the rim.
Down the stretch, Blackburn closed the game with poise and execution. Jeter delivered a dominant finish, scoring in transition, knocking down a late three-pointer, and converting at the free-throw line to seal the win. Jordan added key baskets and defensive plays in the final minutes as the Beavers pulled away for a convincing 102–90 victory.
