Men's Golf Wins Lewis and Clark Invite

On Saturday April 6th, the blackburn college men's golf team travelled to Alton, IL to take place at Spencer T. Olin Golf Club for the Lewis and Clark Invitational.  The Beavers proved their worth in taking down the two other teams in the field, Lewis and Clark College and Mineral Area College. The Beavers shot a team score of 339.  The team was led by Junior Matt Kinsella who placed 2nd individually with an 82. He was followed by senior Anthony Harper who shot also shot a team score of 82 which was good enough for third place individually.  Kinsella bested Harper in a scorecard playoff. Also counting scores for the Beavers was Jake Crews with an 88 and Thomas White with a 92.

The Beavers will be back in action on April 8th, when they travel to Jacksonville to compete in the McNaughton Invitational hosted by Illinois College.  Tee time will start at 10 am.
