Blackburn Bounces Back With 7-0 Victory
CARLINVILLE, IL -- Blackburn College Men's Soccer bounced back with a 7-0 victory Saturday over Spurgeon College.

CARLINVILLE, IL -- After ending a winning streak in their last outing, Blackburn College Men's Soccer bounced back with a 7-0 victory Saturday over Spurgeon College.
The scoring started early with sophomore Grant Eugea scoring just 21 seconds into the match.
Sophomore Brayden Smith added his second goal this season in the 15th minute when he took a free kick and drilled it into the net.
Freshman Nathan Soto extended the first half lead with his second this year off a pass from Eugea, scoring in the 23rd minute.
In the second half, sophomore Cristian Cazares found the net for the first time this season just four minutes in. Eugea's throw in found Cazares on the left sideline who was able to dribble past the Knight defender and put the ball past the goalkeeper to make it 4-0.
The 56th minute saw Eugea settle a deflected save in the middle of the box that he put back in the net giving him his fifth this season.
Soto hepled extend the BC lead with two assists before time expired. Soto helped freshman Kendrik Trout score his first goal in the 61st minute, and then found sophomore Corbin Bochinski in the 79th minute for his first this year.
In total, the Beavers outshot the Knights 23-5.
With the win, Blackburn moves to 4-2 this season and returns to action Wednesday to host Anderson University.
