CARLINVILLE, IL -- The Blackburn College Men's Soccer team hosted Anderson University in a nonconference matchup but a late Anderson goal proved too much to overcome as the Beavers fell 1-0.
In the match, the Beavers outshot the Ravens 11-7 and finished with more corner kicks, 6-3. Sophomore Grant Eugea led the team with three shots, putting all three on goal. Sophomore Brayden Smith and freshman Nathan Soto added two shots each.
The game stayed tied for the first 75 minutes but a shot in the 76th minute got put into bottom left corner of the net to give the guests a 1-0 advantage that BC was unable to answer.
Blackburn is now 4-3 on the season and looks to regroup Saturday with another nonconference matchup when they host Knox College.
