Kailynn Kruep Named SLIAC Hitter of the Week

BELLEVILLE, IL -- Senior Kailynn Kruep was named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Softball Hiter of the Week after a standout performance at Wheaton College and Dubuque University. 

Kruep finished the week with 10 hits and a .714 batting average, including two doubles and a home run. She also contributed to 11 runs as she scored eight runs and knocked in three runs.

The senior shortstop scored two runs in each game and had multiple hits each time out. In the nightcap with Wheaton, she hit her second home run of the season. 

She also added a stolen base in the opener against Wheaton. 

The Beavers will take on Maranatha Baptist University Tuesday before opening SLIAC play Friday with a home doubleheader against Webster University.
