Allende Quinones Earns SLIAC Women’s Basketball Third Team Honors; Jent Named to Sportsmanship Team
BELLEVILLE, IL —Junior Eizaenirys Allende Quinones was named to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Third Team All-Conference while senior Gracie Jent was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
BELLEVILLE, IL —Junior Eizaenirys Allende Quinones was named to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Third Team All-Conference while senior Gracie Jent was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
Quinones finished seventh in the league in scoring with 14.1 points per game, reaching double figures in nine of the 12 conference games she appeared in. She scored a career high 24 points against conference leader Principia College and had 20 points in the team's upset victory over Westminster College. She posted her first double double against Lyon as she had 12 points and 11 rebounds, and followed it with a career high 13 rebounds against Mississippi University for Women. The junior also sposted multiple steals in all but one game this season.
Jent appeared in six conference games after recovering from an injury and started the team's final conference game of the season. This is the third straight season she was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
The Beavers finished the season fourth in the conference in scoring by scoring 70.0 points per game and had their most conference wins since 2013-14.
