Blackburn Plays in SLIAC Tri-Match
ST. LOUIS, MO -- Blackburn College Volleyball traveled to Fontbonne University Saturday for a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tri-match where they took on Fontbonne and Greenville College.

ST. LOUIS, MO -- Blackburn College Volleyball traveled to Fontbonne University Saturday for a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tri-match where they took on Fontbonne and Greenville College. The Beavers were originally scheduled to visit Principia College but the Panthers have canceled their season so the conference schedule has been adjusted.
Over the two matches, senior Cara Pence paced the offense with 16 kills. Sophomore Kenadee Frey tallied 26 assists. Pence and senior Jessica Muckensturm added two aces as well.
Defensively, Frey led the way with 24 digs while sophomore Bailey Bennett chipped in with 19 and Pence had 12. Junior Zoe Mitchell was impactful at the net with four blocks. Muckensturm and junior Ella Person posted three each.
The day started with a match against Greenville with the Panthers taking the match 25-15, 25-16, 25-19. BC then took on the hosts but fell 25-11, 25-18, 25-22
The Beavers next head to Harris Stowe University Tuesday before hosting Lyon College Thursday and Friday.
