Volleyball Makes 2025 Season Schedule Available

CARLINVILLE, IL -- The Blackburn College Volleyball team has made their 2025 season schedule available that features nine home matches and sees the team visit four states. 

The season gets started with a visit to Franklin College to take on the Grizzlies and Miami University-Hamilton on August 30. September starts with the Beavers hosting Spurgeon College and Beloit Collegein a tri-match on September 1. On September 6 the team heads to Concordia University-Chicago before heading to Hanover College September 12 for a two-day event where they will take on Hanover, Depauw University, Albion College, and Trine University. 

Blackburn will host Harris-Stowe University on September 17 before opening St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on September 20 when they travel to Webster University to face Webster and Mississippi University for Women in a SLIAC tri-match. 

September 24 sees the Beavers head to Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology before returning to their home court to host Westminster College on Homecoming, September 27. September concludes with the team heading to Knox College September 30. 

In October, Blackburn heads to Spalding University for a tri-match with the Golden Eagles and Eureka College on October 4. After visiting Westminster on October 8, the Beavers host Webster and Greenville College in another SLIAC tri-match. The 17th features the team host Spalding before hosting MUW on the 19th. The team's final nonconference matches take place with a match at the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy on October 22 before hosting St. Mary of the Woods on the 28th. 

The Beavers enter November with a tri-match on November 1 at Greenville to take on the host and Lyon College before heading to Lyon for their final regular season matches against the Scots and Eureka. 

The team enters the second season with Head Coach Shannon Bishop and are coming of three straight trips to the SLIAC Tournament. With six returners and a large class of newcomers, the team will look to mesh early for another return to the postseason.
