Women's Cross Country Gets 2025 Started
WEBSTER GROVES, MO -- Blackburn College Women's Cross Country opened the 2025 season by running at the Webter University Opener Friday evening and saw eight runners finish the race.
FENTON, MO -- Blackburn College Women's Cross Country opened the 2025 season by running at the Webster University Opener Friday evening and saw eight runners finish the race.
The Beavers were led by senior Olivia Leemon who finished the 5k race in 29:46.2 and junior Gracie Jent, 30:59.2.
Close behind were two freshman making their collegiate debut in Sophia Palmier, 31:50.7, and Mary Ahrens, 32:07.2.
Blackburn also saw freshman Hunter Kirk, senior Breana Allen, sophomore Caitlin Rainey, and freshman Kaitlyn Garland cross the finish line.
The team returns to action next week when they take part in the University of Illinois Springfield Hy-Vee Prairie Stars Invitational.
