Women Set Record Times at Bradley
PEORIA, IL -- The Blackburn College Women's Cross Country Team competed at the Bradley "Pink" Classic Friday afternoon and saw every running set new personal records in a meet that saw the team compete against runners from all divisions of collegiate running.
Junior Gracie Jent ran the 6K course in 30:56.70, beating her previous best mark by 1:34.
Freshman Mary Ahrens fininshed with a time of 32:37.46 which beats her earlier time by nearly 2 minutes, while sophomore Sophia Palmer also set a new personal best time of 33:12.47.
Freshman Hunter Kirk beat her previous best time by over four minutes with a new mark of 37:54.97. Freshman Kaitlyn Garland knocked 2:40 of her personal record and now has a new personal best of 40:38.55.
The team will return to action November 1 when they take part in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships.
