Men's Cross Country To Build on Gained Experiences
CARLINVILLE, IL -- The Blackburn men’s cross country team looks to build on its improvement from last season, when the Beavers placed eighth at the 2024 SLIAC Championships.
CARLINVILLE, IL -- The Blackburn men's cross country team looks to build on its improvement from last season, when the Beavers placed eighth at the 2024 SLIAC Championships.
The squad will lean on senior Kobe Patton and juniors Collyn Oberkfell and Ulises Espinoza who have made large strides in their careers at Blackburn, including taking on leadership roles as they have grown.
Sebastian Bautista also returns for his second year after gaining valuable experience last year.
Joining the team this year will be newcomers, freshman Izaiah Watkins and Sam Schoeneweis who expect to come in and contribute immediately. Freshman LaMark Kirkland also joins the team and looks to gain experience his first year.
The team heads to the starting line on Friday, August 29 at the Webster Opener.
