2025-26: Enters third season at Blackburn. 

2024-25: Season best 35:32.7 8k race at the Greenville XC Classic. Competed mostly in the 800 and 4x400 during indoor and outdoor track season.  

2023-24: Member of the cross country, indoor and outdoor track & field teams. Competed in all meets throughout the year. SAAC member. Won Dam Tough Award.  

Before Blackburn: Went to  state in the 4x800 after helping to win the conference championship. Won conference championships in the 800 meter run and 400 meter run. Named basketball team's Defensive Player of the Year two times. 

Personal: Son of Joseph Oberkfell and Anne Mitchell. Pre-Med Biology major. 

Campus job: Athletics Assistant Manager. 

Why Blackburn: I came to college to focus on academics and this is a place I can focus on academics and still be a part and pursue a sport I love and am willing to put the work in for.
