CARLINVILLE, IL -- The Blackburn College Volleyball team hosted Lyon College in a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matchup Friday night but were bested by the Scots 3-0.

CARLINVILLE, IL -- The Blackburn College Volleyball team hosted Lyon College in a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matchup Friday night but were bested by the Scots 3-0.
Junior Zoe Mitchell led the team with 10 kills. Seniors Cara Pence and Jessica Muckensturm and junior Peyton Moeglin all added five kills each. Sophomore Kenadee Frey notched 24 assists.
Sophomore Bailey Bennett, Frey and Pence each tallied eight digs.
The Scots took the first set 25-22 then followed with wins of 25-13 and 25-17.
The Beavers return to action on Saturday October 5 when they head to Greenville College and will take on Westminster College and Spalding University in two SLIAC matches.
