ST. LOUIS, MO -- Blackburn College Women's Soccer scored a goal in their first match of the 2025 season. However, the late goal would not be enough as the Beavers fell 8-1.
In the 85th minutes, freshman Grace Vidmar took a free kick outside the left side of the box and placed the ball over the UHSP goalkeeper's reach into the top right corner of the goal, scoring her first career goal.
Vidmar and freshman Giselle Moya led the offensive attack with three shots each.
In goal, freshman Emma Zaidle made 12 saves while facing a barrage of shots.
The team returns to action Saturday when they travel to Stephens College.
