Women's Soccer Wins Second Straight with 4-0 Win over Spurgeon

CARLINVILLE, IL -- Blackburn Women's Soccer claimed their second straight victory Saturday afternoon with a 4-0 victory over Spurgeon College.
The Beavers got on the board in the 18th minute when freshman Cristina Zelaya found freshman Amelia Brown for Brown's first career goal.
Later in the half, freshman Grace Vidmar was fouled in the box which gave her a penalty kick that she nailed into the net for her third of the year.
Vidmar added her fourth of the year early in the second half, putting her second of the game into the net in the 58th minutes.
Freshman Giselle Moya capped off the scoring in the 88th minute with her first career goal.
In goal, freshman Allison Nebelsick tallied five saves.
With the win, Blackburn has won two in a row and outscored the two opponents 8-0. The team returns to action Tuesday when they host Lincoln Land Community College.
